Bed and Breakfast at Ponder Cove is TOPS!
We wanted to do something special for my birthday this year and I was lucky enough to stumble across the Ponder Cove website. After reading so many great reviews and seeing how dog friendly it was, we decided to make this our stay during our short vacation.
All the Ponder Cove reviews do not lie. This place was absolutely amazing! Everything from the grounds, to the rooms, to the cabin and of course Martha and Gary.
We stayed at the Max Patch room and were extremely happy at how big and comfortable it was. Our pups had lots of rooms to run and the little patio was just perfect.
Martha gave us great recommendations for restaurants and day trips and both her and Gary were very welcoming. The breakfasts were delicious too.
I cannot wait until we are able to visit again!

Bed and Breakfast at Ponder Cove
We just had the most wonderful vacation at Ponder Cove. After months of stress from work, we decided to spend some time in the Asheville area to relax. We decided to stay at Ponder Cove because it is dog-friendly, and we had a blast. It is located in the mountains, which gave us all of the peace and quiet we could want. Our dog wandered around the spacious grounds, and we enjoyed the beautiful gardens, stunning furniture hand-crafted by Gary, and nightly lightning bug show. We were lucky to start each morning with Martha’s phenomenal breakfasts, which gave us enough energy to hike the gorgeous trails in the surrounding state/national parks or explore Asheville and Weaverville. Plus, Martha knows all the best places to eat and shop in town–we were always so glad that we followed her recommendations! Martha and Gary were such warm hosts and have such a beautiful bed and breakfast that we have already started planning our next visit!

It is even more beautiful than on the website. We had a wonderful time. Even though our trip was short we are well-rested and well-fed. As a first-time bride dealing with a military schedule I needed a place that would be special and yet quick, oh yeah and would accommodate my dogs. Ponder Cove appeared to me at the exact time I needed to find it. Whew! The day was relaxing, the ceremony and photos were excellent, and reception was a dream, and finally the jetted tub was perfect for our first night together.

A little piece of heaven! Wonderfully set amongst the hills and countryside with the sounds of birds to greet you in the morning. Martha and Gary are wonderful people and their B&B is a great getaway from the crazy pace of life. And the breakfast – yummy! Martha also recommended some great restaurants for us to try and boy was she right! I recommend this B&B to anyone looking for a little getaway with class and a place to make some great memories. We will be back!

My wife and I spent our honeymoon at Ponder Cove and could not have been more pleased! The room was very clean, and the whirlpool was to die for. The beds were very comfortable and our dogs loved all of the open space to run around in. We got some great tips from Martha and Gary on where to go and also where to eat. The food was great and we are going back in the summertime! Don’t pass this place up, it is worth every cent!

Picking up our new puppy from a breeder in Tennessee, we needed a dog friendly Inn in which to stay on the drive down from NYC and back. It was a whirlwind trip of 3 days and we hoped to find the perfect place to welcome and bond with our puppy and enjoy the spectacular foliage of western NC. We found Ponder Cove, only 30 minutes from Ashville, and everything fell into place. We stayed in a charming vintage bungalow on the grounds. It had everything we wanted and more. Luxurious linens, plush terry robes, large flat screen tv, even a private hot tub just a few steps from the house and most importantly it was dog friendly! Martha and Gary were the perfect hosts and we look forward to celebrating our new tradition with SaraBella, an annual visit to Ponder Cove.
