Our Mountain Home

This custom built Dutch Colonial contemporary home nestles in the privacy of its own south facing 92 acre cove at 3000 feet elevation. The cove itself is home to forest, full of flora and fauna and pastureland. The house is surrounded by an expansive lawn and lush native landscaping.

Arts and Crafts Style

The house is a wonderful canvas of tongue and groove pine which is the perfect backdrop to show off the collections reflecting the talents of many artisan friends.

Gary Rawlins is  our furniture-maker in residence and co-innkeeper. From Gary’s contemporary arts and craft style to Martha’s eclectic passion for folk art to antiques,  it is here for you to enjoy.

We take great  pride in  the comfort of our home. Yes, our style is eclectic and thanks to Gary’s craftsmanship we do have some priceless furnishings but we always welcome you  to put your feet up and enjoy. That’s the way we do it at Ponder Cove.

Let the sunshine in

The house is light and airy from the two story ceilings in the living room to the cozy sunroom with expansive decks beyond. Again our goal is to keep things relaxed and welcoming. We know you have busy lives and we will do our part to give you the respite you deserve.
